The STORM 1200x Cine Kit is a point-source fixture kit designed for professional lighting technicians, studios, and rental houses that serves as a standard way to deploy the STORM 1200x. This kit is based on the STORM 1200x, a 1200W tunable white point source fixture featuring our revolutionary BLAIR LED chipset and ProLock mount. With all the components of the STORM 1200x Cine Kit built together, the result is a fully integrated fixture unit that is easy to handle, quick to deploy, and efficient to store and transport.
This Cine Kit includes the CF12 Fresnel, a compact Bowens mount fresnel with a 12-inch diameter lens and a spot-flood range of 15º-45º. The CF12 Fresnel was designed with the STORM 1200x’s light engine in mind. It efficiently intensifies the light output of the STORM 1200x by up to 9 times the brightness of its native output. It provides a smooth falloff from center to edge, all with a compact and lightweight form factor achieved by a dual-expanding focusing system. This unique system allows the CF12 to increase the distance between its rear and front elements by extending both ends of its barrel, not just the front like traditional fresnel accessories.
This Cine Kit also includes the CF12 Barn Doors, granting users the ability to shape the output of the entire fixture unit right out of the box. Its 8-leaf doors allow users to shape and cut the light at the lamp. The CF12 Barn Doors also incorporates a holder for a 13-inch metal scrim to control light output.
In addition to the CF12 Fresnel and Barn Doors, the STORM 1200x Cine Kit also includes the STORM 1000c/1200x Skid, a stainless-steel skid attachment that secures to the bottom of the STORM 1200x. It enables users to safely place their fixture flat on the ground without the risk of the fixture tipping over, even with a CF12 Fresnel attached to the front of the light. This skid features a cutout at the rear which allows for clearance of the STORM 1200x’s head cable when users are tilting the fixture up and down. With this Skid mounted, the STORM 1200x with its head cable, a CF12 Fresnel, and CF12 Barn Doors attached can sit safely on a head cart or shelf.
